And now, some info about fused glass...
These hand made, one of a kind pieces of jewelry and gift items are made using a variety of fusible glass products. Dichroic glass has a metallic look surface, comes in a vivid range of colors and textures and is used in almost all of my pieces. After careful cutting, layering and placement, the glass goes into a kiln and fires once or several times depending on what the desired outcome is. For the initial firing when the temperature reaches around 1435 degrees the heat gets turned off and the annealing or cooling process begins and the result is nothing short of magical. If an item is getting slumped and taking on another shape other than a flat piece of glass, it gets put into a mold and fired again until the desired shape is achieved.
